Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of CeADARConnect Data Scientist within CeADAR Ireland’s Centre for Applied AI. CeADAR is part-funded by Enterprise Ireland and the IDA and is the national centre for applied AI. Its market-focussed agenda is developed in conjunction with its strong membership base of over 80 MNCs and SMEs.

CeADAR is seeking an experienced individual who has a demonstrated successful track record in data science/AI with a particular focus on research-based proof-of-concept development. This is an opportunity to work on a number of diverse and exciting data science projects with CeADAR industry partners.

CeADAR is based in UCD and is a collaboration between UCD and TUD. The research at CeADAR covers broad aspects of data analytics and AI including explainable AI, cybersecurity, real-time analytics, machine learning, prediction, data visualisation, data management, blockchain applications and data-driven interfaces. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work in collaboration with industry partners and other researchers at the cutting edge of the
’recently possible’.

These would mainly be applied R&D roles ideal for people who enjoy building AI/ML solutions like a wizard spell.

Minimum requirements

  • MSc in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Data analytics or related discipline
  • Minimum of 1-year experience developing applied data science (machine learning) solutions
  • Knowledge of data analytics methods and experience with machine learning and related technologies (e.g. scikitlearn), including deep learning technologies (e.g.Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Expertise in the application of machine learning for both structured and unstructured datasets including deep learning for machine vision and/or natural language processing tasks
  • Strong software development skills using Java, Python or similar languages
  • Strong database skills

Salary range: €30,000 – €33,000
